Ya tenemos las nominaciones a los Golden Globes 2022, pero no tendremos ceremonia de entrega, y probablemente quienes se lleven el premio no se sentirán con mucho ánimo de celebración.
Y no, no se debe a la pandemia, sino a que diferentes reportajes periodísticos en los últimos meses revelaron faltas a la ética por parte de la Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), la organización que otorga los premios. Además de los temas éticos y financieros, también se supo que ninguna persona negra pertenece a la Asociación.
Aunque la HFPA prometió que está haciendo cambios y anunció a un grupo diverso de 21 nuevos votantes, las estrellas, publicistas y cadenas de televisión siguen tomando distancia y este 2022 no podremos ver la ceremonia de entrega de estos premios, que antes eran considerados los segundos más importantes de la industria, solo después de los Óscar.
Las nominaciones a los Golden Globes
Quizá para mostrar que están cambiando, las nominaciones de este año son un poco más diversas de lo normal, pero ¿será suficiente, o demasiado poco, demasiado tarde?. Por ejemplo, hay dos mujeres directoras en la lista y una en la de Mejor Película. Estas son The Power of the Dog (Jane Campion) y The Lost Daughter (Maggie Gyllenhaal). Si las quieres ver, la primera ya está en Netflix y la segunda se estrena en la misma plataforma el 31 de diciembre.
También están nominados a Mejor Actor Will Smith (King Richard), Denzel Washington (The Tragedy of Macbeth) y Mahershala Ali (Swan Song).
Hollywood ama una buena historia de comeback, así que no dudamos que los Globes vuelvan a ser relevantes, pero quizá dentro de unos años.
